Topic and afternoons for the week for all year groups
MUSIC - In this lesson, we will learn what pitch is and how we can recognise high, middle and low sounds.
PE - In this lesson, we will dance three parts of the story, Jack and the Beanstalk. We will use our imaginations to act out these parts through movement, using pathways, changing directions, changing speeds and carrying different objects. Please note this lesson will require some physical exercise and additional equipment, beyond a pen, pencil or paper. Please see the equipment slide near the start of the lesson video and make sure your child is adequately supervised when equipment is required. Parents and carers are responsible for ensuring that children follow the correct safety advice provided at the start of this lesson and the instructions the teacher gives during the lesson. Parents and carers are responsible for supervising activities where required and for seeking medical advice in advance if your child has a medical condition that may prevent them taking part in physical activity.
An alternative to this would be to have some races in the garden with your household and pretend to have a sports day! You could do an egg and spoon race, an obstacle race and skipping race like we would do at school!
ART - Why not spend some time drawing a picture of something you find in your garden - look very carefully to observe all about the object so you can draw it accurately. Why not use your pencil to add shade and tone to your picture?
Please spend some time each day this week listening to your child read or give them time to read on their own if they can. Log onto www.oxfordowl.co.uk - if you need the log in and password please let me or school know.
Don't forget to have some playtime too!
I will contact you all later in the week. In the meantime - please take care.
